If you live in the Hamilton South Eastern School District, you’ve heard correctly, there are talks of re-districting.  At this point, an internal committee with the Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) School System has submitted its K-8 redistricting recommendation to the HSE School Board.  The redistricting proposals with maps are listed below:

The HSE School Board met on Monday, December 8th to discuss these maps, it was an open session and the public was invited to attend.   The next step will be for the school board to hold a public hearing on the redistricting recommendations on Wednesday, December 10, 7pm, at Fishers High School “Cafe A.”

Interim HSE School Superintendent William Carnes earlier stated he plans to submit to the board his “preferred” redistricting recommendation on December 12th.

The HSE School Board plans to take a final vote on redistricting maps at a meeting on Monday, December 15, 7pm, at Fishers Junior High.

As real estate agents, we are very familiar with the neighborhoods and map areas that are being proposed.   Some of these neighborhoods are being split and may leave questions about “where” the line is drawn.  If you would like to ask us any questions about the neighborhoods, street lines or areas on these maps, please do not hesitate to call the Evelo Team for more clarification at 317-863-4663.  These are our kids schools too!
