Plainfield is a town located in Hendricks County, Indiana. Plainfield is a part of Guilford, Liberty, and Washington Townships. According to the 2010 census, Plainfield’s population was at 27,631. A popular attraction in Plainfield is the popular outdoor shopping mall, Metropolis. The outdoor shopping mall opened in October of 2005 and an expansion is even planned for the future. With shopping, entertainment, and dining, the Metropolis Mall attracts people from all over the state of Indiana. Not only does Plainfield provide a great outdoor mall experience, it is also the headquarters for the Islamic Society of North America.
